La Palascìa

The lighthouse of Palascia is the former lighthouse of Capo D´ Otranto in Punta Palascia the place more at the east of Italy. It is said thakt before the lightouse, the iluminated fountain of Capo D´ Otranto, was the tower of the snake. That stll appears in the simbol if Otranto city. There is a legend tol by the fishermen of Otranto that say: “close to the tower lthe night the dead came back from the sea, went up by the rocks and wen smooth laments on the tower”.
